Robert J. Baranowski, M.D.
Dr. Baranowski is board certified in Gastroenterology. He has a broad range of clinical interests, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, esophageal motility disorders, biliary and pancreatic diseases, as well as colon cancer screening. Dr. Baranowski performs special procedures including esophageal pH and manometric studies, endoscopic mucosal resection, enteral stenting, tumor palliation with argon plasma coagulation and advanced therapeutic biliary procedures such as ERCP.
Dr. Baranowski is the current Chief of Gastroenterology at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital. He is on the nutrition committee and participated in the Colon Cancer Symposium at Mather Hospital to educate the public about colon health and cancer prevention. Additionally, Dr. Baranowski also serves as a member of the Medical Board of St. Charles Hospital. He enjoys giving educational lectures on digestive diseases and participates in medical lectures at Stony Brook University Hospital
